Hi, quilting family. Penny here. The Triple Js are elbow-deep in fabric at the moment, so I waddled over to the blog myself, because something seriously gorgeous just landed in the shop and somebody had to tell you. The HOLIDAY - Haunted Threads collection just filled up with a whole flock of long sleeve tees made for the quilter who stitches a little closer to midnight than she admits at guild. Sound familiar?
What the Haunted Threads are
Here is the concept, straight from my beak: quilting humor, but with the lights turned down. Every design in this drop celebrates the slightly spooky side of our craft ~ the stash that has a dark corner, the seam ripper that appears out of nowhere, the quilt that refuses to be finished no matter how many full moons pass. These are Comfort Color Premium Long Sleeve Tees, which means they live happily in our Long Sleeve Tees and Cozy Heavyweight Tees collections too, right where sleeves get longer and sewing rooms get cozier.
Meet the haunted crew
There is a tee here for every flavor of after-dark quilter, and I am naming names.
For the ones who suspect their piecing is actual magic, there is Witchy Stitches, Stitchcraft, Fabric Wizard, Wicked Weaver, and Wicked Stitcher. No judgment ~ we have all pulled a quilt out of a pile of scraps and called it sorcery.
For the quilters who have fully crossed over: Zombie Quilter, CREEPY QUILTER, Mummified Strip Quilter, Ghostly Stitches, and Haunted Stitches. If you have ever shuffled toward your machine at 2 a.m. muttering about binding, one of these already has your name on it.
And for everyone who just loves the season with heaps of heart: Sew Spooky, Sew Scary, Stitch or Treat, Pumpkin Patch, Whooos Stitching, Nightmare Quilting, Nightmare Stitches, and the one I personally relate to most as a penguin surrounded by fabric hoarders, This is Madness.
Who this drop is for
It is for the quilter whose Halloween fabric comes out in July. The one whose UFO pile could legally be classified as a haunting. The one who tells herself the orange-and-black stash is strategic inventory. You know who you are, and so do I, because I watch the carts. That is also why plenty of these designs feel right at home alongside our Stash Confessions and Binding & Stitch Life collections ~ the truth-telling corners of the shop where we admit what quilting really does to us.
Where to find them
The whole haunted crew is gathered in the Halloween Shop and the HOLIDAY - Haunted Threads collection, waiting patiently in the dark the way all good spooky things do. Ready to dive in? Go meet them, pick the one that feels most like you, and wear it to your next guild meeting like the badge of honor it is.
And if you linger too long deciding between Witchy Stitches and Zombie Quilter... well. Don't make me waddle over there.
