Every sewing room runs on laws nobody wrote down. Press as you go. Never touch her good scissors. Friends do not let friends quilt alone. Quilting Humor Tees finally puts those laws where people can read them, lettered in bright rainbow gradients on soft tees in blues, purples, pinks and coral, one commandment at a time.
The gospel of the press
Any quilter will tell you the iron is the real star of the show. Thou Shalt Not Skip the Press states the first law plainly in teal and pink. Pressed & Blessed glows in deep berry pink, Pressing Matters lets a little curl of steam rise off the letters, and Cut. Press. Repeat. sums up an entire Saturday in three words. For the quilter who treats her walking foot like a trusted sword, Walking Foot Warrior slips a tiny sewing icon in where one of the letters should be.
Confessions, freely given
Some laws are really confessions. Fabric Addict in Recovery glows in soft sunset colors, though we notice it does not say how recovery is going. Master of the Stash claims the title with pride, and Fabric Hoarder wears a small pink crown on top, because a stash that size deserves royalty. Binding My Sanity trails a loop of thread under the words, and WIP It Real Good comes with a little sewing basket for every work in progress still waiting its turn.
Matters of the heart
Quilters love deeply, just not always in the order people expect. Binding Is My Love Language ends with a small heart. Quilts Before Dudes needs no explanation, and Born to Quilt, Forced to Cook tells the whole dinnertime saga in two short lines. A Woman Cannot Survive Quilting Alone stacks its words over a row of patchwork hearts and ends with the best line of all: she also needs quilting besties. Piece Out swaps the o for a peace sign, and Fabricologist defines itself like a dictionary entry, complete with a pronunciation guide.
For the quilter who lives by the rules
Every guild has them: the friend who has an opinion about starch, the sister-in-law who sends quilting memes before breakfast and the retreat roommate who keeps everyone laughing at midnight. Find the commandment she already lives by and let her wear it proudly. And if anyone asks why she will not lend out her rotary cutter, point to the tee. The law is the law.
