Hi, quilting friends. Penny here. Jenny usually does the writing around Chic Quilter, but she handed me the keyboard for this one, and honestly, it was about time. Because this collection is my kind of honest.
The Scrap Basket is where we keep the sayings quilters mutter under their breath and then glance around to see who heard. You know the ones. The things you think at 11 p.m. when the bobbin runs out three inches from the end of a seam. We just... put them on tees.
What The Scrap Basket actually is
It's a collection of women's fit tees (plus a Comfort Colors premium tee, for the days when Pouting - No Quilting Today is less of a slogan and more of a weather report). Every design is a line pulled straight from real quilting life ~ the triumphs, the unpicking, the stash that quietly developed its own zip code.
Some of them confess: Fabric Addict in Recovery. Master of the Stash. Some of them celebrate: Piece. Love. Quilting. Binding is my Love Language. Pressed & Blessed. And some of them just tell the truth with their whole chest: I Came. I Sewed. I Swore. Quilt Happens. Born to Quilt, Forced to Cook.
Who this collection is for
It's for the quilter with a WIP pile and zero apologies about it (WIP It Real Good, obviously). It's for the one whose entire exercise routine is wrangling a king-size through a domestic machine ~ Sewing Is My Cardio was made with you in mind. It's for anyone who has ever said just one more seam and emerged from the sewing room at midnight, blinking, dinner un-made, quilt un-done... sound familiar?
Penny's honest opinion: if you have ever threatened a seam ripper out loud, Thread the Drama is already yours. You just haven't clicked yet.
Why we made it
Because we quilters spend so much time making beautiful things for everyone else. The Scrap Basket is the little pile of joy you keep for yourself ~ the odd bits, the cheeky bits, the ones that make a guild meeting laugh before the minutes are even read. Even a wonky seam tells a story, and these tees tell yours in a single line across the front.
Ready to dive in? Waddle over to The Scrap Basket and find the one that says what you've been thinking all along. And if Stitch Please! or Pins Out, Sass Up ends up in your quilting haul, send pictures. I'm keeping a list.
