The romantic reached for flowing script, with a pair of scissors and a spool tucked into the curves, and the cheerful one gave her letters candy stripes and signed off with a heart. Same sentence, same truth, four very different friends.
Life Is Better With Quilts, in every style
This one got passed around too. One version stacks tall letters high and thin, another sweeps a needle and thread across the words in a single swoosh, one scatters hearts and scissors between the lines, and one sets the whole thing in heavy block letters with a needle underlining QUILTS, just in case anyone missed the point. Plan For Today gets the same treatment, lettered in scissor script, spelled out in safety pin letters, and printed plainly with quilting as the only item on the list.

Quilting is Shear Delight hides a pair of snips inside its flourishes, and Quilting floats over a needle with a spray of little sparkles. Quilting is My Superpower sits beneath a row of pincushions with two buttons standing in for the letter O, while I Quilt, What's Your Superpower bursts out of a starburst of needles. I Quilt Therefore I Am keeps its answer short, I'd Rather be Quilting sits under a vintage machine, and Quilt-A-Holic sets a glowing rainbow machine over its name.

These are for the host who sets out the snacks and the extension cords, the friend who arrives with a quilt top and a bottle of something bubbly, and every quilter whose Thursday night belongs to her sewing group. Fill one with wine, iced tea or sparkling water and set it well back from the fabric. Before everyone heads home, pass the signature block around one more time. Somebody will add a heart. Somebody always does.
